You've heard the oft-used Scouting phrase, "Keep it simple; keep it fun." This applies slacklining, a sport that involves walking across a two-inch tightrope webbing.

Sound like fun? It requires plenty of balance and focus—and little to no gear. All you need is the slackline and two trees (or poles), and you've got a recipe for endless entertainment with your Scouts or Venturers during a weekly meeting or weekend outing.

To help you get started, we're giving away three Gibbon Classic Slacklines in the WALK THE LINE GIVEAWAY, Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.

In the WALK THE LINE GIVEAWAY, three winners will take home their own Gibbon Classic Slackline kit ($75 each), including a webbing line that measures in at two-inches wide and 49-feet long. The kit comes with an easy-to-use ratchet system that will help you set the tension on the line. (Watch a video of explaining how to get started slacklining.)

This new-to-the-scene sport continues to gain popularity after the 2012 Super Bowl, which featured Eagle Scout slackliner Andy Lewis who performed with Madonna during the halftime show.

And, before you ask, "Is this BSA-approved?" Here's the answer: Yes, with exceptions. Read up on how to keep safety a priority when using a slackline with Scouts.
