Staying warm at night is crucial to a successful winter camping trip. And, if you've tried it, you know it's not as easy as it sounds—especially when the mercury plummets.
The winner of this month's TAKE THE CHILL OFF GIVEAWAY will be ready to face plenty of cold nights in his or her future. One lucky winner will take home a bounty of gear for a fun, frigid adventure: an REI Cirque ASL 2 tent ($360); a Kelty Mistral Minus-20 sleeping bag ($90); and a Term-A-Rest Z Lite Sol sleeping pad ($35).
These items were all approved by our go-to gear guy, Stephen Regenold (of TheGearJunkie.com). And, as a Minnesotan, he knows a thing or two (or 10) about staying warm.

After you've entered the contest, you can tell others about the TAKE THE CHILL OFF GIVEAWAY using a referral link provided on the "Entry Received" page. Copy this link, share it on Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, or other social avenues, and you will receive one "Tell-A-Friend" entry for each friend who enters the giveaway via your link.
Only one winner will be randomly selected the week of Feb. 1, and he or she will be contacted by a Scouting magazine editor. Each prize will randomly be assigned to each winner. Once the winners are confirmed, their names, cities, and states will be announced at blog.scoutingmagazine.org.
